The More You Know: A NC Metro Mayors Coalition Webinar Series
As we work to expand educational opportunities for Coalition members, we are proud to announce our new webinar series, The More You Know. This series will bring Coalition members together with leading issue experts for in-depth discussions related to topics driving the news in communities across the state.
For this Fall, we could think of no better topic to focus on than the upcoming Mid-Term Elections and what impact those results could have on the future of government at the local, state, and national levels.
To kick off the series, on Friday, September 25 at 10:00 AM, we will be joined by Dr. Chris Cooper, Robert Lee Madison Distinguished Professor and Director of the Haire Institute for Public Policy at Western Carolina University. Chris is a leading expert in North Carolina politics and has literally written the book on why our state is the purplest in the country: Anatomy of a Purple State: A North Carolina Politics Primer.
He will help break through the noise from polling and media reports to give attendees the insight they need to make informed decisions and plan for what could be a different future on Capitol Hill and Jones Street.
BONUS: Attendees will be entered into a drawing to win one of two signed copies of Dr. Cooper's book, Anatomy of a Purple State: A North Carolina Politics Primer.
The Coalition is also happy to invite members of the NC Mayors Association to join us for this session!
