2026 NC Metro Mayors Annual Conference

October 7-9 | Asheville, NC

We look forward to seeing you in Asheville for Annual Conference!

Member Registration

Registration deadline is September 16, 2026.

We look forward to welcoming Coalition members from across the state to this year’s NC Metro Mayors Coalition Annual Conference, October 7-9 at the Kimpton Arras in downtown Asheville.

This year's theme is "Resiliency – It’s not just for natural disasters!"

Why Resiliency? As Mayors and leaders of the state’s largest and fastest-growing cities, you are faced with challenges on an hourly basis. From the simple to the catastrophic, you are expected to be the face of the city—in good times and bad. While you each came into your role with skills, no one expected you to have everything you needed on day 1. The goal of this year’s Annual Conference is to provide attendees with the tools they need to be RESILIENT MAYORS. Learning from those who have lived it, whether it’s when a crisis is facing your city, your council, or even yourself, we want you to know what to do next.

October 7 will include an afternoon, optional tour for pre-registrants, as well as a Mayors only dinner that evening. The conference programming will begin mid-morning on October 8 and will conclude by midday on October 9.

In addition to all attendee sessions, we will have separate tracks for both Mayors and Staff. Those tracks are signified in the presented draft agenda by separate colors. This draft agenda is provided for information purposes and will be updated as speakers are confirmed.
